Progression Physiotherapy & Massage ►

Not only are we a snowsports school but we have a team of four senior physiotherapists in resort. They provide massage and physiotherapy for clients in their chalets, and also for The English Medical Centre. GAP students will receive bio-mechanical assessments as part of their course, free injury assessments and priority treatment should they need it (fingers crossed they don't). The physios are also First Aid trainers so they will teach the obligatory 2 day First Aid course. GAP students' friends and family also receive a 20% discount when in resort.

Doudoune Le Chalet

The newest, and in our opinion the coolest, of Val d’Isère's restaurants and après ski bars, Le Chalet nestles in to the piste just underneath the Solaise Express chairlift. Le Chalet, which opened in 2010 as a lunch snack stop and après ski bar, has a large, quiet lounge at the back where Progression lectures, video analysis and our own large flat screen TV are situated. We are the only GAP provider with exclusive use of any mountain restaurant and lecture facility. As an added bonus it’s very close to the centre of Val d’Isère, right by a bus stop and on the side of the piste so you can ski-in and ski-out. With a push and a shove you can skate back to the GAP accommodation or slide down to the main lifts which are less than 100 metres away. Truly the best facilities of any GAP provider in resort.

Head ►

Head skis and boots are so good that we decided to ski on them ourselves... and so have Bode Miller, Didier Cuche and a whole host of World Cup stars in all the disciplines from freestyle to downhill. There's a great range of products from beginner skis through to freeride and awesome race kit, as well as bindings and accessories. GAP students receive good discounts on all Head stock when purchased pre-arrival.

Snowberry ►

Snowberry Rental Shop has only been running since 2007 and already it has been voted "European Ski Shop of the Year." This reflects their commitment to providing the very best service and the very best equipment. Progression GAP students, plus their family and friends, get a 30-50% discount on rental for their whole party when they are in resort.

Surefoot ►

Branding themselves as “the most comfortable boots in the world”, Surefoot have shops in 24 resorts across the globe including one in central London. Specialising in personalised foot beds, boot shells and foam liners, using the most modern technology and materials, they are quite simply second to none. Their shop is half way down Val d’Isère's main street.
