BASI Instructor Courses

Progression is an official provider of BASI courses. For the vast majority of students their best chance of working as a snowsports instructor is through the BASI system. This is generally regarded as one of the world’s most widely-recognised, well-structured programs. Remember that all instructor systems vary, but because British instructors will tend to look for employment within a British snowsports school, BASI is the best qualification in regards to potential employment. BASI is also recognised throughout the world which is not the case with many North American and Southern Hemisphere qualifications, which are often not recognised in Europe. Many other GAP providors use North American or Southern Hemisphere Federation qualifications.

BASI Membership, benefits, course information, course manuals and course fees are all included in the 10 week GAP and Seasonaire programs. If you are booking onto the BASI Level 1 Instructor course or BASI Level 2 Instructor course we can arrange membership if you do not have it already.

BASI Membership also gives the student access to career advice, discounts on equipment and clothing through BASI partnership deals, the BASI Magazine and a pathway to further courses with BASI.
